Welcome to Level 2! Our doors are now open NZ wide and we are so looking forward to being able to help our chemotherapy and hairloss clients requiring a new head of hair. Under Level 2, we are back to doing our regular private and free consultations for you to try different wig models and headwear and choose one that suits you best. As always, we can help you with Ministry of Health subsidies for your wigs. If your wig has suffered during the lockdown, we are able to service your wig and bring it back to new condition.
Many chemotherapy patients have already been in touch with us during the lockdown, requesting appointments as soon as Level 2 is announced. For those who haven’t, we are requesting for you to phone and book an appointment as soon as possible. You can find your nearest consultant at https://www.wigs.co.nz/contact/find-a-consultant.
Please note, we are opening under very strict hygiene practices that will need to be abided by all clients entering our premises. Our goal is to ensure that everyone that enters our working environment feels safe, but with the same feeling of connection and trust we know you value.
We are practising the following during this time:
– Doing contact tracing for all clients
– Giving clients a face mask upon entering (if you come without one) & providing sanitizer for your hands upon arrival
– Our wig consultant will lead the client straight to his/her consultation room
– All our wig consultants will wear a full-face mask, a single-use apron, and single use gloves
– We will stay as much as possible at the back of the client when fitting wigs to avoid limited face to face interactions
– When trying on different models, clients will be given a wig cap for hygiene purposes
– We will have a 10 minute buffer time between appointment to prepare room for next clients including disinfecting and sanitizing
– Frequent cleaning of premises, especially counters and EFTPOS terminals, and other high-touch surfaces
